Summer (June to August)
Summer is the peak season for beach holidays. Temperatures regularly reach 35°C or higher in July and August, with sea temperatures warm from June onwards. Beaches and restaurants are busy during this period, and hotel rates are at their highest. Book early if you plan to travel in July or August.
Spring (April to May)
Spring is arguably the best time for sightseeing and walking. Temperatures are comfortable, between 20°C and 28°C, the landscape is green and flowering, and the sea is swimmable from May. Hotels are less busy and rates are lower than in peak summer.
Autumn (September to October)
September and October offer warm sea temperatures with slightly cooler air. It remains good beach weather through mid-October, and the summer crowds thin quickly after August. This is a popular shoulder season for couples and those avoiding peak prices.
Winter (November to March)
Winters in North Cyprus are mild but wetter, with temperatures between 10°C and 18°C. Beach activities are limited, but this is a good time for cultural visits, walking in the mountains and exploring historic towns. Some hotels reduce capacity in winter.
When to book
