North Cyprus vs the Republic of Cyprus
North Cyprus and the Republic of Cyprus are different destinations with separate entry procedures, airports and rules. North Cyprus is entered through designated ports or border crossings, including arrival through Ercan Airport. Entry conditions for Uzbekistan citizens are not the same as entry to the Republic of Cyprus.
What to check before booking
Official TRNC guidance requires a valid passport. Non-EU travellers from countries without a TRNC diplomatic mission must generally have at least six months of passport validity. Conditions can change, so verify the rule for your passport and route close to departure.
Documents immigration may request
Immigration officers may request proof of accommodation, sufficient funds for the stay and return journey, and a clear explanation of the purpose of travel. For a standard hotel holiday, a tourist visa may be issued at the border for up to 30 days; longer periods depend on supporting documents and the immigration officer's decision.
